Buckhead is home to residents and businesses alike, each reflecting the modern affluence which defines the community. The neighborhood combines high-rise luxury condos with opulent single-family homes nestled into Atlanta’s hills. Every convenience imaginable is located here — from upscale shopping centers to storied cultural attractions, such as the Atlanta History Center. Driving will be your main source of transportation, but there is a wide array of choices for getting around the city. “The Buc” is a free circulator bus which stops at all three of the Buckhead area MARTA stations, and provides for greater access to downtown. There are also a wealth of biking and walking routes spread throughout the area. Buckhead is not your typical bedroom community. While certain sections of are purely residential and quiet, there is also an explosive art, fashion, foodie, nightlife and entertainment scene that appeals to any age group. Although the neighborhood has changed considerably over the years, drive down any side road and Buckhead’s true history will burst out in grand splendor.
